A Life, Well Balanced

“Strengths overused, become weaknesses.”

This is a favorite quote of my super fantastic coach, Andi Burgess of Challenge YOUniversity. And I love it because it reminds me to make sure I am always in balance. A life, well-balanced is what I’ve experienced this week and I am absolutely loving it!

I am an entrepreneur with BIG dreams and BIG goals! I’m extending my coaching practice in a new city, workin on my PhD, and working part-time as a researcher in higher education STEM reform. Which means I am out there connecting with potential clients, meeting with my tribe, writing papers AND creating my own Fabulous & Zen lifestyle! I'm actively working on improving my body, exploring yoga, meditation and maintaining my deeply fulfilling spiritual practices. Whew! I need a glass of water just reading what I wrote.

I get such a rush of excitement from having such a dynamic life. My feminine-flirty side is satisfied when I am going on dates, my scholarly-intellectual side is satisfied when I do school work, my desire to improve the world and generate income while Iive my passion is fulfilled when I coach and build my business.

Here’s the wheel of life- rate yourself on how fulfilled you are in the various categories. Let’s do this, mindfully.

  • Find a space to sit or lie quietly.

  • Take 3 deep breaths allowing your thoughts to come to a pause.

  • Ask yourself: “on a scale of 1-10, with 10 being the most fulfilled and 1 being the least fulfilled, how fulfilled am I in my love life? My spiritual development? My career?

  • Allow the answer to come to you intuitively, which is generally the first number to pop in your mind. Do not judge yourself or the number.

Do you have a 5 or below in any areas? List some activities you can do within the next 48 hours to fulfill those love-starved areas of your life.

Share your results and self-love activities below!

Fabulously Yours,

Ariel
